Sydney Gates has been riding horses her whole life, and has had an unwavering love for the animal and sport. She has her undergraduate degree in Business Administration, as well as a minor in Economics from High Point University; with plans to apply this knowledge to her equestrian business. Along with this she is a United States Pony Club HA/B Traditional with aspirations to become an A graduate and National Examiner. Along with her experience in Pony Club and University, she has trained under multiple 5* Eventers, USPC National Examiners, and members of the Australian and Canadian Olympic teams.
Her primary discipline is Eventing, but she also has experience competing in Show Jumping, Dressage, and Hunters. She has vast experience in introducing horses to each of these disciplines and progressing them through the levels. Working with horses on a daily basis and seeing them grow as athletes through classical and correct training is Sydneys main goal for all of her horses.
Sydney not only offers experience in riding, but also working with horses on the ground. She has helped many horses overcome fear of trailering, bad habits, etc. through effective groundwork. She believes that groundwork is just as important as work in the saddle, and prides herself in producing safe, well mannered horses who are equally proficient in their groundwork and mounted work.
Sydney takes great pride in her horse care and management, making sure every horse is always treated perfectly.
